Common use of Leave for Union Committees Clause in Contracts

Leave for Union Committees. a) Members of the Negotiating Committee, and any other members of recognized joint Labour Management Committees as fall within the scope of this Agreement, shall be granted leave of absence and paid at straight time pay for attendance at scheduled meetings with the Employer excluding Arbitration proceedings. The Grievance Committee and the Grievor shall be granted leave of absence and paid at straight time pay for attendance at scheduled Grievance meetings with the Employer.

The Grievance including arbitration In the period six months prior to the termination of this Agreement, each member of the Union Negotiating Committee and the Grievor shall be granted entitled to one day unpaid leave of absence and paid at straight time pay to prepare for attendance at scheduled Grievance meetings with the Employernegotiations.
