Common use of Leave of Absence for Institute Committees Clause in Contracts

Leave of Absence for Institute Committees. An employee whose assigned work schedule would prevent him/her from attending meetings of an institute committee to which he/she has been elected or appointed, will be granted a leave of absence from his/her regular duties without loss of pay or other entitlements to attend such meeting(s). Where such leave is granted, the Employer will replace the employee as necessary. The cost of this provision will be borne by the institution as a general operating expense.
