Levels of Grievance. In this procedure principal means the principal or immediate supervisor whichever is applicable. Level One – Informal The grievant will first discuss the grievance with the principal, either individually or accompanied by a representative, with the objective of resolving the matter informally within five (5) days. Level Two – Formal If the grievant is not satisfied with the disposition of the grievance at the informal level, a written grievance may be filed with the principal within twenty (20) days following the act or condition which is the basis of the complaint or, if the grievant had no knowledge of said occurrence at the time of its happening, within twenty (20) days of the time the employee should reasonably have known of the cause for the complaint.
