Liaison Days. The BOARD hereby grants up to a total of fourteen (14) days of released time from teaching duties for Professional Staff Members designated by the ASSOCIATION as representatives of the certificated/licensed staff. Minimum use will be in one-half day blocks. See attached form, Appendix A.

  • Association Days The Association shall be provided a total of twenty-two (22) days during the school year of released time to conduct Association business with a maximum of seven (7) used on any given day. Requests for Association days shall be made in writing and, when at all possible, at least three (3) days prior to such leave and shall be submitted to the Superintendent or his/her designee. The Association shall assume any expense incurred by the hiring of a substitute teacher.

  • Vacation Days Employee shall be entitled to the same paid vacation days each calendar year during the term of this Employee Agreement as authorized by the Company for its other employees.

  • ELECTION DAYS Work and travel will be arranged to allow employees the opportunity to vote on their own time on recognized state and federal election days unless they are given sufficient notice to enable time to obtain an absentee ballot.

  • Snow Days ‌ If an employee, after good faith efforts, is unable to report to work for their scheduled duty period because of weather conditions, the employee may utilize paid time off.

  • Hours For the purposes of an unpaid 7.5-hour shift, the deduction from pay shall equate to 9.375 hours.

  • Professional Days Upon prior written application to the College, an Employee may, be granted permission to attend, during time periods when the Employee is responsible for performing duties for the College, educational and professional activities without loss of pay.

  • Shift Hours All shifts assigned by the Employer must conform with the following guidelines:

  • Contact Hours The contact hour load for an eLearning course or section shall be equivalent to that for a face-to-face course.

  • Furlough Days A furlough day is defined as a day during the fiscal year on which employees do not report to work and are not paid. Furloughs are designed to address temporary emergency financial circumstances that threaten the financial well- being of the institution. Therefore, the President, with approval of the Board of Trustees, may temporarily place all bargaining unit eligible employees on leave without pay status when the state does not fully fund the base operating grant in any particular fiscal year. The Board shall approve the duration and dates of the furlough, after notifying the Union of the State’s failure to fund the base operating grant necessitating the need for furlough days. Employees shall be given at least 30 days’ notice of a furlough. No more than 5 furlough days shall fall within the same pay period. If the Board implements more than 10 furlough days in a fiscal year, the College shall not implement a reduction in force for unit members during the same fiscal year. If after furlough days have been implemented, the College receives full funding of the State base operating grant in a particular fiscal year, unit members who had unpaid furlough days during that year and remain employed with the College shall be reimbursed for their lost earnings due to the unpaid furlough days.

  • Calendar Quarter January through March, April through June, July through September, or October through December.
