Common use of Librarian Search Committee Clause in Contracts

Librarian Search Committee. (a) When the President has granted approval to initiate a search for a librarian appointment, the Chief Librarian shall establish a Search Committee consisting of seven (7) persons as follows: (i) The Chief Librarian, who shall serve as chair of the committee; (ii) Three (3) membersMembers in the Library at or above the rank being hired who are appointed by the Joint Senate/College Council Library Committee; (iii) One (1) professional librarian from the University of Toronto Libraries at or above the rank being hired who is appointed by the President; (iv) One (1) Member in the Faculty Member appointed by the Faculty Council or the College Council; and (v) One (1) student appointed by the St. Michael’s College Student Union.
