Common use of Local Negotiating Committee Clause in Contracts

Local Negotiating Committee. (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of Negotiating Committee members as outlined in the local appendix to represent their respective bargaining units. This committee shall be comprised of the unit chairperson in addition to (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of committee members to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the Bargaining Unit who have completed their probationary period. (b) Where the Hospital participates in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central parties. (c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. (d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees seniority in accordance with this article. (e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives when engaged in local negotiations with the Hospital.

(b) Where the Hospital participates in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central parties. (c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. (d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees employees’ seniority in accordance with this article. (e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives when engaged in local negotiations with the Hospital.

Full-Time and Part-Time (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of a Negotiating Committee members as outlined in the local appendix to represent their respective bargaining units. This committee shall be comprised of the unit chairperson in addition to (as defined in the local provisions under L9) number of committee members to be elected or appointed determined by the Union from amongst employees in the Bargaining Unit bargaining unit, who have completed their her or his probationary period. The number of union committee members will be as set out in the Local Provisions Appendix of this agreement. (b) Where the Hospital participates in master Central bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central partiesdefined. (c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master central bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. (d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their her or his regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees seniority in accordance with this articleto, but not including, arbitration. (e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee Union negotiating committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives of the Union when engaged in local negotiations negotiating with the Hospital. (f) The number of employees on the Negotiating Committee shall be determined locally. Any provision related to number of employees and the number of employees from the same department/area that can sit on the Local Negotiating Committee shall be continued under the Local Provisions Appendix L7.

(e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives when engaged in local negotiations with the HospitalEmployer.

The number of union committee members will be as set out in the Local Provisions Appendix of this agreement. Such committee shall include part-time representation. (b) Where the Hospital participates in master bargaining, central bargaining the purpose of the Local Negotiating Negotiation Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central partiesdefined. (c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master central bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. (d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees seniority in accordance with this articleto, but not including, arbitration. (e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Union Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives Representatives of the Union when engaged in local negotiations negotiating with the Hospital. f) It shall not be necessary for more than two (2) members to meet with the Management to deal with any matter arising during the term of the Agreement. g) The Union shall advise the Hospital of the names of members of the said Committee as soon as they are appointed and shall subsequently inform the Hospital forthwith of any changes in its personnel.

Any provision related to number of employees and the number of employees from the same department/area that can sit on the Local Negotiating Committee shall be continued under the Local Provisions Appendix L7.

(e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW UNIFOR National or Local representatives when engaged in local negotiations with the HospitalEmployer.

Local Negotiating Committee. There will not be any more than one (1) employee from any one department on the Negotiating Committee. (b) Where the Hospital participates in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central parties. (c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement. (d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees seniority in accordance with this article. (d) The Hospital agrees that the members of the Negotiating Committee shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending such negotiating meetings with the Hospital up to and including conciliation. Hours compensated during negotiations will be credited towards part-time employees employee’s seniority in accordance with this article. (e) Nothing in this provision is intended to preclude the Local Negotiating Committee from having the assistance of any CAW National or Local representatives when engaged in local negotiations with the Hospital.

Local Negotiating Committee. (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize five (as defined in the local provisions under L95) number of Negotiating Committee members as outlined in the local appendix to represent their the respective bargaining unitsunit. This committee shall be comprised of the unit chairperson Unit Chairperson in addition to four (as defined in the local provisions under L94) number of committee members to be elected elected, or appointed from amongst employees in the Bargaining Unit who have completed their probationary period. (b) Where the Hospital participates in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate local issues as defined by the central parties. (c) Where the Hospital does not participate in master bargaining, the purpose of the Local Negotiating Committee shall be to negotiate a renewal of this Collective Agreement.
