Common use of Local Negotiating Committee Clause in Contracts

Local Negotiating Committee. (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee of three (3) members to represent their respective bargaining unit. This Committee shall be comprised of the Unit Chairperson in addition to two (2) other Committee members to be elected or appointed from amongst employees in the bargaining unit who have completed their probationary period. (b) In the event that Local 229 and participating Hospitals decide to voluntarily bargain regionally for further negotiations, then the Union Negotiating Committee will consist of no more than one (1) full-time representative from each hospital and a maximum of two (2) part-time employees representing all part-time units participating in regional negotiations.
