Local Procurement. (April 1998)
Local Procurement. MCHP shall report annually:
(1) The amount of MCHP expenditures in Oregon.
(2) The amount of MCHP expenditures in Multnomah County.
(3) The percent change in expenditures over prior year.
Local Procurement. The Tenderer has to propose the overall local procurement for this scope of works.
Local Procurement. 2.1 To work with the Council’s local economy team or a nominee of the Council in the Borough to as far as practicable and in compliance with all applicable laws use Reasonable Endeavours to achieve the procurement of construction contracts and goods and services from organisations based in the Borough.
2.2 To use Reasonable Endeavours to obtain a total value of contracts procured from organisations based in the Borough of 10% of the total value of the construction contract or the number of contracts procured in relation to this Site.
2.3 To:
2.3.1 consider applications to tender received from SME’s based locally for the provision of goods and services for the running of the Site, pre, during and post construction, and shall liaise with the Council through the Construction Industry Employment Contact to increase opportunities for local firms and people and use Reasonable Endeavours to ensure that any contractors and sub-contractors do the same;
2.3.2 include a written statement in their contracts with any contractors and sub-contractors encouraging them to liaise with the local economy team to discuss, agree and implement the arrangements as set out in this paragraph 2.3 and also in the Southwark Economic Wellbeing Strategy 2012-2022;
2.3.3 brief contractors and sub-contractors on the requirements of this paragraph 2.3 and encourage co-operation with the Council as a pre-requisite to accepting sub-contract tenders;
2.3.4 advertise sub-contracting and tendering opportunities to SME’s (whose primary address is in the Borough) through Local Business networks/associations, business lists provided by the Council or a nominee of the Council (including a list of Pre-qualified Firms by the Council’s procurement team) and the local press;
2.3.5 with its contractors and sub-contractors, resource and deliver, in consultation with the Council or a nominee of the Council, a minimum of three seminars on procurement policy and phasing in relation to the Development at an appropriate time before the Implementation Date and targeted at local firms in order to make them aware of the opportunities, timescales and procedures to be adopted in tendering for available work.

2.3 To comply with the following or to use Reasonable Endeavours to procure that any sub- contractors comply with the following:
Local Procurement. Furniture and development software and e-materials valued at less than $500,000 per contract may be awarded on the basis of local competitive bidding among contractors in accordance with the standard procurement procedures of the Borrower and acceptable to ADB.
Local Procurement. The 17,000 tonne wood fuel supply contract for the Eden Campus Energy Centre biomass plant will use biomass from Forestry Stewardship Council certified sources across Scotland, with a preference for local suppliers (within a 50-mile radius). The tracker for the Guardbridge Guarantee (outlined below) shows the biomass district heating project is scheduled to spend in Fife and Scotland over £12m or over 73% of its spend, which exceeds the 60% Guarantee commitment. A further £750k has been identified as contractor spend on accommodation and expenses, significantly benefitting the locality.
Local Procurement. Civil works contracts estimated to cost the equivalent of $1,000,000 or less may be awarded on the basis of local competitive bidding among prequalified contractors in accordance with the standard procurement procedures of Punjab and acceptable to the Bank. Prequalification, selection and engagement of contractors shall be subject to the approval of the Bank. As soon as the bids received have been evaluated, the proposal for award of contract shall be submitted to the Bank for approval. For this purpose, the Bank shall be furnished with three copies of (i) an account of the public opening of bids; (ii) a summary and evaluation of the bids; (iii) the proposal for award; and (iv) a draft contract or a draft letter of acceptance. Promptly after each contract is awarded, the Bank shall be furnished with three copies of the contract as executed.
