Common use of Long Term Illness Leave Clause in Contracts

Long Term Illness Leave. Employees once each year shall be credited with a total of one hundred (100) work days of paid sick leave, including the sick leave to which he/she is entitled under section 12.4, above. Upon exhaustion of all accumulated sick leave credit, an employee who provides a physician’s verification of illness shall be compensated at fifty percent (50%) of the employee’s regular salary, up to a total of100 working days. The 100 working days commences on the first day of absence and runs concurrently with accumulated sick leave.
