Maintenance and Membership. Employees who are members of the Union on the effective date of the Agreement shall be notified in writing by the Union that they must retain their membership throughout the period (term) of the Agreement, except that each member shall have the opportunity to withdraw membership during a fifteen (15) day period commencing on August 15 of each calendar year.
