Maintenance of Traffic Plans. The Consultant shall prepare plan sheets, notes and details to move vehicular and pedestrian traffic during all phases of construction. The maintenance of traffic plans shall include construction phasing of (including side streets), ingress and egress to existing properties, temporary signing and pavement markings, temporary signals, and detour routes. Additional sheets such as cross sections, profiles, drainage structures, retaining wall details and sheet piling may be necessary to ensure implementation of the maintenance of traffic plan and will be provided by the Consultant. The plan sheets will be developed at 1” = ’ scale. The construction documents shall provide for Maintenance of Traffic to be paid for as a lump sum item.

Maintenance of Traffic Plans if project is constructed under traffic without detour. This work is to only be performed if authorized by the City. The fee for this effort is $13,300.
Maintenance of Traffic Plans. Maintenance of Traffic plans shall be based on minimal interruption to the vehicular traffic. In order to save construction cost and to keep the construction limits within the existing Right of Way, one-way traffic will be maintained along Xxxxxxxx Road while a detour route will be provided for the other direction of traffic. Phase I construction will consist of constructing the storm sewer and the south half of the proposed pavement section while maintaining one way traffic on existing north half of the pavement. Phase II construction will consist of constructing the storm sewer and the north half of the proposed pavement section while maintaining one-way traffic on the newly constructed south half of Xxxxxxxx Road. During the early stages of the design, DLZ will conduct meetings with the Client and stakeholders to determine direction of traffic that will need to remain open and also potential detour routes for the other direction. In addition to the maintenance of traffic plans for vehicular traffic, DLZ will prepare maintenance of traffic plans for pedestrian traffic at existing sidewalk locations.
