Common use of Maintenance On-Call Clause in Contracts

Maintenance On-Call. Maintenance employees who are assigned by the Administration to be "on call" shall be paid two (2) hours pay for each eight (8) hours they are "on call" and shall be paid for all hours worked beyond two (2) hours during an eight (8) hour period. The scheduling of the "on call" duty shall be performed on a rotating basis. An employee shall have the right to trade his/her scheduled time with another maintenance employee who agrees to make a trade. Notification to employees to be on maintenance "on call" status shall be one (1) week in advance.
