Management Leave. In lieu of overtime, management employees (excluding Fire shift personnel) receive 100 hours of management leave during each full fiscal year of service to the City. In the event that the employee, at the time of separation from the City, has a zero balance in his/her management leave bank a deduction for management leave time owed the City shall be made, in the following order: from the employee's accrued vacation leave bank; accrued sick leave bank; and/or as an equivalent hour-for-hour cash reimbursement to the City from the employee's final payroll disbursement.

A. The standard workday shall be 10 hours and the standard workweek shall be 40 hours. A 7-day work period shall be utilized commencing at 12:01 a.m. (0001) on a Monday and ending at 12:01 a.m. (0001) the following Monday. RAFT
B. The pay period for all employees shall be biweekly. If a payday falls on a holiday, payday will (if possible) be the last working day prior to the holiday. From time to time, other pay periods and work hours, periods, and days may be designated by the City Manager or the City Council/Personnel Committee.

Management Leave. In lieu The City shall provide a Management Leave Plan equivalent to three percent (3%) of overtimean employee’s annual compensation in addition to all other salary and employee benefits granted in the budget. This Plan covers Executive, management Mid-Management and Confidential employees. Effective PP001 exempt employees (excluding Fire shift personnel) shall receive 100 62.4 hours of management leave during each full fiscal year of service Management Leave which may be taken as time off. An employee may also cash out their Management Leave or convert their pay out to deferred compensation by completing the required form and returning it to the CityHuman Resources office in advance of the payroll deadline. Any Management leave must Leave hours not taken by PP025 will be used cashed out in the year it is earned and cannot PP026. Under no circumstances shall available Management Leave hours be carried over to succeeding fiscal yearsa new calendar year. During Exempt employees who are hired throughout the first pay period year will receive a pro-rated amount of Management Leave hours and shall follow the Management Leave Plan as noted in July the paragraph above. Exempt employees who leave the City of Hanford with Management Leave hours available will be cashed out their balance in their final paycheck. Non-exempt employees are eligible to receive a cash amount equivalent to 62.4 hours for those who work an average of 2080 hours per year or 87.36 for those who work an average of 2912 hours per year. The cash amount will be provided at the end of each calendar year. The amount of compensation provided to non-exempt employees will be reduced by paid overtime or compensatory time earned between PP01 and PP025 of each year. Unless an employee completes the required form and returns it to the Human Resources office in PP024, management leave hours requesting their Management Leave balance be converted to deferred compensation, any amount left will be credited to the eligible employee's management leave account or other designated leave bankcashed out in PP026. The City Non-exempt employees who are acting in an exempt classification will "cash out" one quarter (1/4) of the employee’s unused management leave balance remaining on the last day of the last full pay period in June of each year and convert it to reportable compensation by paying the employee his/her hourly, regular rate of pay in effect at the time of the cash out.
