Management of Overtime/ Time off in Lieu. An Employee shall not work overtime without first obtaining the express approval of his/her manager. Where an Employee works a significant number of authorised hours in excess of the ordinary hours of work, on other than an irregular and infrequent basis, the Employer may investigate the cause of the requirement for such excess and take appropriate action, including an assessment of the workload involved where appropriate, to ensure that the Employee works only ordinary hours of work on a regular and frequent basis.

  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within ninety (90) calendar days of the work week in which the overtime was earned or, with the employee’s agreement, within 12 months of that work week.

  • Sick Leave Use Sick leave will be charged in one-tenth (1/10th) of an hour increments and may be used for the following reasons:

  • Time Off in Lieu of Payment for Overtime An employee may elect, with the consent of the Company, to take time off in lieu of payment of overtime at a time or times agreed with the Company. Overtime taken as time off during ordinary time hours will be taken at the ordinary time rate, that is an hour for each hour worked.

  • Time Off in Lieu By mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee, the employee may take time off, calculated at the appropriate overtime rate, in lieu of overtime pay.

  • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.
