Time Off in Lieu. By mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee, the employee may take time off, calculated at the appropriate overtime rate, in lieu of overtime pay.

Time Off in Lieu. An employee who is eligible to be paid overtime shall as an alternative to such payment be entitled to choose time off equivalent to the extra time worked at the convenience of the Employer.
Time Off in Lieu. 23.2.5.1 Any employee required to work overtime shall receive pay for this time unless time off at the appropriate overtime rate in lieu of pay is mutually agreed to by the employee and the employer and the agreement is recorded in writing.
Time Off in Lieu. Where overtime has been performed employees may elect to take compensatory time off in lieu of overtime pay. By mutual agreement between the employee(s) and the supervisor such time shall be arranged to suit work requirements. (ii) any period in excess of 3 hours overtime in any one fortnight may be taken off at a rate equivalent to the prescribed overtime penalty. (iii) should overtime in excess of 3 hours be consecutively worked on any one engagement, such overtime in excess of 3 hours shall be taken at or paid at the rate of double time. (b) An employee shall be required to clear accumulated time off in lieu within and no later than 3 months of the overtime being worked. The employee shall be paid for the overtime worked at the appropriate overtime rate in the following instances: (i) where the Employer is unable to release the employee; (ii) at the time of termination by either party under any circumstances.
Time Off in Lieu. An employee may elect, subject to the approval of the Employer, to take time off in lieu of payment for overtime at a time or times agreed with the Employer. Overtime taken as time off during ordinary time hours will be taken at the ordinary time rate that is an hour for each hour worked. In the event that an employee’s employment is terminated prior to the time off in lieu being accessed such payment will be at ordinary time rate. Overtime will be paid in actual minutes worked.

Time Off in Lieu. If the employee so wishes, and the company agrees, overtime can be exchanged for time off in lieu, so that 50 per cent hours are taken as 1.5 hours off and 100 per cent hours as two hours off for every hour of overtime worked. The timing of the time off in lieu shall be agreed between the company and the individual employee, normally with one week’s notice. The time off in lieu shall where possible be granted as full or half days off and taken within two months of working the overtime. If the employee calls in sick to the company before the start of normal working hours on the day on which they were due to be taking agreed time off in lieu, the illness shall be considered an impediment to taking the time off in lieu. If the employee has planned several days of time off in lieu, the time off in lieu impediment will also apply to illness on any subsequent day off in lieu.
Time Off in Lieu. If an employee requests time off in lieu of payment for overtime and this request is approved by the Supervisor, the time off shall be based on the appropriate overtime rate for each hour worked. Lieu time may be accumulated, with the time off to be scheduled and taken at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and the immediate supervisor and, in any case, no later than the August 31st following the month in which the time was accumulated. Any remaining accumulation at August 31st will be paid out at the appropriate overtime rate on the next regular pay. Provided sufficient notice is given, requests to take lieu time shall not be unreasonably denied.
Time Off in Lieu. ‌ Overtime, work on a day off, or on a designated holiday, stand-by as per clause 16.13.5 and the meal displacement as per clause 17.5, shall be compensated in cash except that upon request of an employee, equivalent leave with pay shall be granted at times mutually agreeable to both the employee and the Employer. 16.8.1 Compensatory leave in lieu not used by the end of the year or not authorized to be carried over, will be paid for in cash. Compensatory leave in lieu authorized to be carried over, shall be taken prior to September 30th of the next year. 16.8.2 The parties, recognizing that time off in lieu may be difficult to arrange at times, agree that the intent of this Article is to allow members of the bargaining unit to take their "lieu time" as time off instead of being paid. Best efforts must be made to meet this intent and schedule such time off.
