Time Off in Lieu. By mutual agreement between the Employer and the employee, the employee may take time off, calculated at the appropriate overtime rate, in lieu of overtime pay.

Time Off in Lieu. An employee who is eligible to be paid overtime shall as an alternative to such payment be entitled to choose time off equivalent to the extra time worked at the convenience of the Employer.
Time Off in Lieu. 24.1.5.1 Any employee required to work overtime shall receive pay for this time unless time off at the appropriate overtime rate in lieu of pay is mutually agreed to by the employee and the Employer and the agreement is recorded in writing.

Time Off in Lieu. (TOIL) of payment for overtime hours worked may be taken at the employee’s option. TOIL is earned on the basis of one hour off for each overtime hour worked. Scheduling of such time off shall be done by the employee with his Leader’s approval and TOIL should be normally taken within three months of it having been earned.
