WORK OVERTIME. The normal work shall consist of forty-three (43) hours per week Monday through Friday exclusive of an unpaid meal period. The daily schedule of hours will vary depending upon the trip selection and weather conditions. The day will commence with the scheduled reporting time, and end with the return to the plant or the motel check-in, subject to reasonable expectations of driving time. It is understood and agreed that the provisions of this Article are intended only to provide a basis for calculating time worked and shall not be considered a guarantee as to the hours of work per day or the days of work per week. However, the will endeavour to provide a normal work week to as many employees as possible, as business conditions permit. Authorized hours worked in excess of the normal work week as outlined in shall be accumulated on a basis, and paid at time and one-half the employee's regular hourly rate. Hours paid but not worked will be carried forward to the following period as owing to the Company. There shall be no duplication or pyramiding of overtime payment nor shall the same hours worked be counted as part of the normal work week and also as hours for which an overtime premium is payable. Consistent with efficiency operations, there shall be a one-half hour unpaid meal period and two (2) ten (10) minute paid rest periods in each work day. All hours worked on Saturday shall be credited at the rate of one and one-half times the hours worked. All hours worked on Sunday shall be credited at double (2) the hours worked. The parties recognize that the needs of the business may require the performance of overtime work from time to time, and employees will co-operate in the performance of such work. If an employee is missed under Article and/or he will be offered an equivalent number of hours at the next available opportunity within thirty (30) calendar days. The trip sheet will be posted daily two days in advance, and the trips will be distributed as fairly as possible to maintain the hours and mix of runs. Such distribution will depend upon and be affected by licencing and drone limitations. Wherever possible, an extra run during the week will be offered to an available driver providing such run will not unduly extend his hours of work for the day. For or Holiday runs, these runs will be offered to regular drivers on a rotation basis by seniority starting with the most senior driver.

Overtime at the rate of time and one half the straight time hourly rate shall be paid for all authorized hours worked in excess of hours per week or hours per day. Time and one half the straight time hourly rate shall be paid for all authorized hours worked on calendar Saturday, except for employees whose work regularly falls on Saturday. Double the straight time hourly rate shall be paid for all authorized hours worked on calendar Sunday, except for employees whose work regularly falls on Sunday. Employees who regularly work on Sunday shall receive another day off in lieu of Sunday. If they work on such off day, they shall receive double time for hours worked on that day. Where an employee works scheduled day on Sunday and has two week days off, the second day shall be considered to be the day in place of Sunday. Employees working on shifts regularly scheduled to commence prior to on Sunday shall receive a premium of per hour for all hours worked at regular rates on calendar Sunday. Such premium shall not be considered as part of such employee's basic rates. Any employee who is called in to work shall receive a minimum amount equal to four (4) hours work at the, prevailing rate. assigned shift without previous notification not to do receive a minimum of four hours work or four hours pay at regular straight time rate. WORK OVERTIME. The work day for each employee is as follows: Day Workers The day for each day worker commences with the start of his regular working hours in that day. Day workers shall normally commence work at eight (8) a.m. but in the interest of efficiency of op- erations certain day workers may be re- quired to commence work earlier or later than eight (8) a.m. Day workers shall be given a continuous lunch period of one-half hour which shall commence not later than five (5) hours after the start of their work but such lunch period shall not be considered as time worked. Shift Workers The day for each shift worker commences with the start of his day shift hours. Shift workers will be allowed thirty (30) minutes per shift to eat a meal and such time will be considered as time worked. A day worker who receives a change of shift instruction before the end of his shift on Friday of the preceding week which requires him to work two or more afternoon night shifts during a week will be considered a shift worker for that week. Time worked will be calculated in units of one-half hour. The work week for each employee com- mences with the start of his day on Monday.
WORK OVERTIME. Except as specified this Agreement, the Employer does not guarantee to provide work to any employee for regularly assigned hours or for any other hours. The regular day shall consist of eight (8) consecutive hours of employment between a.m. and Monday to Friday inclusive, exclusive of one (1) hour for lunch or one-half hour for lunch. The starting time may be any time after a.m. to
a. m. at the discretion of the Employer. The lunch period shall be at the mid-point of the shift but, if an employee is unable to eat his he shall then be paid at the rate of one and one half times his regular basic rate for his one-half hour lunch period. All hours worked before or after the regular work day, Monday through Friday, shall be paid at the prevailing overtime rate. WORK OVERTIME. WORK OVERTIME. This Article is intended to define the normal hours of work and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week or of days of work per week.
(a) The normal work week for all fill-time employees covered by this Agreement shall consist of forty (40) hours per week and shall be worked on the basis of five (5) shifts of eight (8) hours each. at the rate of time and a half shall be paid for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours in a day and forty (40) in a week. In a week where a holiday occurs, the eight hours of the paid holiday will be considered as time worked in calculating overtime. Full-time employees shall not be requested to work more than two (2) evenings per week except in emergency circumstances. It is understood that the two (2) evenings not be consecutive unless by mutual agreement between the employee concerned and the company.
WORK OVERTIME. The normal hours of work for full-time employees shall be forty (40) hours per week made up of five (5) days of eight ( 8 ) hours each. All hours of work are exclusive of meal times. The Employer will continue to post the work schedules five (5) full days in advance. Such schedules will continue to provide employees two (2) consecutive days off in each week and the schedule will be adhered to except in cases of emergency or except when otherwise agreed upon by an employee and the Employer. All work performed beyond eight (8) hours in any one day will be paid for at the overtime rate of time and a half (1 It is understood, however, that an employee may agree to work overtime hours on straight time in order to make up the full weekly hours of forty (40) hours of work as a result of being absent from work during normal working hours without a valid personal reason. Employees in the Restaurant who are required to stay beyond the end of their shift for the purpose of finishing service shall be paid at their regular rate of pay for such time. Subject to Article the employer agrees to provide that schedules will be posted one (1) week in advance. Schedules may change with twenty-four (24) hours notice only after agreement between the department manager and employee.
WORK OVERTIME. The standard hours of work for all employees shall be based on forty (40) hours per week exclusive of travelling time to and from the job, save and except as specifically outlined below respecting the bricklayers assistants and fork lift drivers. All overtime work performed in excess of eight (8) hours per day, Monday to Friday, and all Saturday work, shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half the regular rate. No work shall be assigned on Sunday or Government Holidays, save and except in the case of emergencies, in which the rate payable shall be double time, the parties hereto agree that due to the preparation for the trade, the bricklayers assistants and fork lift drivers overtime rates are effective after nine (9) hours per day, Monday to Friday, accommodating a forty-four (44) hour week. Where work cannot be performed during the regular work day defined in (a) and above on Monday to Friday inclusive, such work may be done as evening or night work at one and one-seventh times the regular day rate.
