Common use of MANDATORY TRAINING/CERTIFICATION Clause in Contracts

MANDATORY TRAINING/CERTIFICATION. For any District required mandatory training(s)/meetings, or certification(s) not offered during their scheduled work day, Employees will be paid their regular hourly rate and shall receive transportation costs if such training/meeting, or certification(s) is outside the employee’s attendance area and not provided by the District. Voluntary training(s)/meeting(s), or certifications occurring outside the work day, will be at the Employee’s expense. The NCSD will not pay for licenses, or certifications for new hires that are a ‘condition of employment’; however, subsequent renewals shall follow 12-7.
