Matrix Evaluation. A score is assessed using a “forced matrix” evaluation. The forced matrix evaluation is conducted by all fire officers above the candidate’s current rank and measures three areas: Emergency Performance, Teamwork and Leadership. For Lieutenant, Emergency Performance is worth (3.4) points, Teamwork (3.3) and Leadership (3.3). Each evaluation component is worth a total of five (5) points for captain. Ascertained Merit – Ascertained merit points are assessed according to Appendix C. Seniority – Lieutenant and Captain candidates will be awarded .04166 points for each month of continuous full-time employment, up to a total of 20 years. Seniority time will be awarded up to the last date promotion applications will be accepted as posted by the Board of Commissioners. Appendix C Ascertained Merit Ascertained Merit – Lieutenant (weighted to 10 points) Category A (maximum 50 points) Any certification offered by OSFM, excluding Firefighter II/Basic Operations Firefighter, Firefighter III/Advanced Technician Firefighter, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Fire Apparatus Engineer, Fire Officer I/Fire Officer I Provisional/Company Fire Officer/Company Fire Officer Provisional, Fire Officer II/Fire Officer II Provisional/Advanced Fire Officer/Advanced Fire Officer Provisional, Executive Support, Technical Rescue Awareness is worth 1 point for every eight complete hours of a certification class up to 5 points maximum per class.   • Scope of Services The specific scope of work for each job shall be determined in advance and in writing between TIPS Member, Member’s design professionals and Vendor. It is permitted for the TIPS Member to provide a general scope description, but the awarded vendor should provide a written scope of work, and if applicable, according to the TIPS Member’s design Professional as part of the proposal. Once the scope of the job is agreed to, the TIPS Member will issue a PO and/or an Agreement or Contract with the Job Order Contract Proposal referenced or as an attachment along with bond and any other special provisions agreed by the TIPS Member. If special terms and conditions other than those covered within this solicitation and awarded Agreements are required, they will be attached to the PO and/or an Agreement or Contract and shall take precedence over those in this base TIPS Vendor Agreement.

  • GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE 7.01 For purposes of this Agreement, a grievance is defined as a difference arising between the parties relating to the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of the Agreement including any question as to whether a matter is arbitrable.

  • Safety Where an employee is prevented from working at the employee’s particular function as a result of unsafe conditions caused by the inclement weather, the employee may be transferred to other work in the employee’s classification on site, until the unsafe conditions are rectified. Where such alternative is not available and until the unsafe conditions are rectified, the employee shall remain on site. The employee shall be paid for such time without reduction of the employees’ inclement weather entitlement.
