Common use of Maximum Accumulation of Vacation Days Clause in Contracts

Maximum Accumulation of Vacation Days. Normally staff members will take their earned vacation entitlement by December 31 of the year following the year in which it was earned. Total accumulated vacation days at December 31 of each calendar year may not exceed forty (40) days (excluding Long Service Vacation as per Article 12.03). Any unused vacation of more than 40 days shall be paid out annually, providing that the procedures in Article 12.04 were followed and the staff member was unable to schedule vacation due to operational reasons.
