Meal Periods for Continuous Operations. It is recognized that certain continuous operations require some employees being on the job for a full eight (8) hour shift. In these operations, such employees will be paid for a one-half (½) hour meal period because they will not be able to leave the work place for a meal break. Subject to (ii) below, a specified meal period shall be scheduled as close to the mid-point of the shift as possible. The one- half (½) hour meal period will be paid in accordance with the applicable overtime provisions.
