Seniority Tie Breaker. The Employer and the Union agree that where there is a tie in seniority between two (2) or more Employees, a determination of seniority shall be made in the following manner:
(a) Where two (2) or more regular Employees whose start date as regular Employees is the same, auxiliary, substitute and temporary seniority of each Employee shall be referred to for the purpose of determining the order of seniority of the regular Employees involved.
(b) Where a seniority tie is not resolved by (a) above, a game of chance shall be administered jointly by the shop xxxxxxx and a representative from the Human Resources Department.
Seniority Tie Breaker. The following steps will be used as a basis for choice between continuing contract teachers of equal seniority for purposes of determining the order of placement on Unrequested Leave of Absence and implementation of involuntary transfer.
a. Length of continuous teaching experience in the School District, including approved leaves of absence.
b. Total years of public-school teaching experience.
c. The lower file folder number as recorded on the teacher’s Minnesota teaching license.
Seniority Tie Breaker. If employees have the same union seniority date, the following tie breaker will be used to determine the seniority order:
6.4.1 Total number of hours paid in the previous twenty-four (24) months will be used to determine the most senior employee.
Seniority Tie Breaker. In the event two (2) or more seniority dates are tied, the relative order of priority will be determined by the date an employee’s application or transfer form was received for the position on which the employees’ seniority is based. The employee with the earliest date of receipt on the application/transfer form will have first priority within the group. In the event one (1) or more employees do not have a date stamped application/transfer form, the last four (4) digits of the employees’ social security number will be added up with the highest number receiving first priority and so on.
Seniority Tie Breaker. In the event that more than one individual employee has the same seniority date, the tie shall be broken by using the length of time that the employee served as a substitute in the bargaining unit. If the tie is not broken based upon the length of substitute service, position on the seniority list shall be determined by the last four (4) digits of each employee’s social security number, with the highest four (4) digit number ranked first.
Seniority Tie Breaker. The Parties agree to the following process when two (2) or more employees have equal seniority: By first using the last three (3) numbers of the employee’s Social Insurance Number (SIN), and whomever has the lowest last three numbers will be considered the first hired, and so on. If two employees have identical last three (3) numbers, the fourth number of the SIN number will be compared with the lowest fourth number of the two (2) employees being considered the first hired. Example 1: Employee A Employee B Employee B 779 441 789 706 123 690 is considered the first hire Example 2: Employee A Employee B Employee A 779 441 789 706 123 789 is considered the first hire This process will only apply to seniority conflicts which arise after July 4, 2004.
Seniority Tie Breaker. The Society and the Union agree that where there is a tie in seniority between two or more employees, a determination of seniority will be made in the following manner: where two or more employees have the same date of commencement of employment, their order of seniority will be determined by the time and date of receipt of their acceptance of an appointment; where a seniority tie is not resolved by (a) above, a game of chance will be administered jointly by the staff representative and the Head.
Seniority Tie Breaker. In the event a decision is to be made between two (2) faculty members who have equal seniority, the decision of which employee shall be retrenched shall be made on the basis of evaluations as provided in this Agreement. If the affected employees remain tied after a review of their evaluations is completed, then the decision shall be made by lot.
Seniority Tie Breaker. Employees having the same bargaining unit seniority date will be placed on the seniority records based on the day of the month in which they are born (lowest number has highest seniority; highest number has lowest seniority). A second tie-breaker, if needed, will be based on the month of the year in which the employees are born (earlier month has higher seniority).
Seniority Tie Breaker. In the case where two (2) or more employees commence work on the same date, their seniority shall be determined at the end of thirty (30) days by the Employer. If this does not occur, then their ranking will be determined by their placement on the schedule.
