Common use of Meal/Rest Periods Clause in Contracts

Meal/Rest Periods. 362 Unit members shall be entitled to meal and rest periods as follows: 363 • 2.5 to less than 4.0 hours/day - One 10 minute rest period 364 • 4.0 to 5.0 hours/day - One 15 minute rest period 365 • 6.0 hours day - One 15 minute rest period and one 10 minute rest period 366 • 7.0 to 7.5 hours/day - Two 15 minute rest periods 367 Any employee whose assignment is more than 5.0 hours must be allowed a half-hour 368 meal period, except that employees may by agreement with the supervisor, voluntarily 369 give up their meal period if the workday does not exceed 6.0 hours.
