Common use of Medical Insurance Benefits Clause in Contracts

Medical Insurance Benefits. The City agrees to contract with CalPERS for the purpose of providing employees and their eligible dependents with medical insurance benefits. Effective the first of the month following City Council approval or as soon as administratively possible, the City’s maximum monthly contribution for each eligible active employee shall be equal to the minimum employer contribution required under the Public Employees Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA).
