Medical Report and Examination. After three (3) consecutive days of absence, or in the case of suspected sick leave abuse, the Board may require a bargaining unit member to submit a statement from the attending physician to verify an illness or injury for which sick leave, paid or unpaid, is used. The Board may also at any time require a bargaining unit member to submit to a medical examination by a physician selected by the Board, provided that the cost of any such examination shall be paid by the Board.
