MEDICAL REPORT. The Chief, as a condition of granting sick leave with pay, may require acceptable medical evidence of sickness or injury after two consecutive shifts absence or in cases in which the Chief has reason to believe that an employee has abused his/her sick leave privilege to the Department. This evidence may include a statement of diagnosis and treatment from a licensed physician or a medical clearance to return to work.
