Common use of Membership in Union Clause in Contracts

Membership in Union. All present employees who are now members of the Union shall remain members of the Union. All persons employed on or after June 15, 1981, shall become members of the Union by the pay period immediately following completion of thirty (30) calendar days of employment. All such employees shall remain members of the Union as a condition of employment provided that no employee shall be deprived of employment by reason of loss of membership in the Union for reasons other than failure to pay the regular Union dues or general assessments that all other members of the Union are required to pay to the Union.
