Common use of Membership in Union Clause in Contracts

Membership in Union. The Employer shall advise all new permanent employees at the time of their employment that the Union is their bargaining representative and will notify the Union in writing of the name, address, and classification of each new permanent employee. The Employer and the Union recognize the right of any employee to become or not to become a member of the Union and will not discourage, discriminate, or in any other way interfere with the employee in the exercise of these rights.
