Membership Requirements. Par. 1. All Mechanics, Helpers, Apprentices and Assistant Mechanics covered by this Agreement shall, as a condition of employment obtain and maintain membership in a local union of the International Union of Elevator Constructors on and after the thirtieth (30th) day following the beginning of their employment or the date this Article becomes effective, whichever is later.
