Common use of Membership Requirements Clause in Contracts

Membership Requirements. 3.01 All Mechanics and Helpers covered by this Agreement shall as a condition of employment, obtain and maintain membership in a Local Union of the International Union of Elevator Constructors following completion of the probationary period as defined in Article 10. 3.02 The Employer shall be obligated under this Article to terminate the employment of any employee who fails to obtain and maintain membership in good standing in a Local Union, upon receipt of a written request for such termination from his Local Union. 3.03 All of the provisions of this Article shall be effective to the extent permitted by applicable law.
