Modified Duty for Pregnancy-Related Disability. In the case of a medically certified, pregnancy-related disability, in which the normal duties clearly threaten the health and safety of the employee or the unborn child, the Human Resources Department will endeavor to place the employee in a position which best serves the interest of the City with no loss of pay, but in no event will such placement exceed 5 months in duration.
