Common use of Mutual Pledge of Accord Clause in Contracts

Mutual Pledge of Accord. Inherent in the relationship between the City and its employees is the obligation of the City to deal justly and fairly with its employees and of the employees to cooperate with their fellow employees and the City in the performance of its public service obligation. In the interest of promoting and ensuring harmonious relations between the City and its employees, authorized representatives of the City and the Association have met and conferred in good faith, exchanging various proposals concerning wages and other terms and conditions of employment for the employee. The authorized representatives of the City and the Association have reached an Understanding and Agreement as to changes in wages and certain other benefits for the affected employees which shall be submitted to the City Council of the City for approval and implementation of its terms and conditions by appropriate ordinance, resolution, or other lawful action.
