NEW EMPLOYEES AND NEWLY PROMOTED EMPLOYEES. If you start employment or are promoted into a new role between 1 July and 30 September in any year you may not receive a pay increase on 1 October. Your remuneration will have been set at a level that takes account of the 1 October pay increase and, in the case of promotions, your performance in the previous year.
