Newborn. An infant from the moment of birth through the first thirty-one (31) days of life.
Newborn. A live child born to an Enrollee, who is a member of the Health Plan.

Newborn. (I) If a subscriber or employee enrolls his/her newborn or a subscriber enrolls a newborn of his/her dependent with- in thirty-one (31) days of birth date, coverage becomes effective on the newborn’s birth date.
(II) If a subscriber does not elect to enroll a newborn of a dependent within thir- ty-one (31) days of birth, s/he cannot enroll the dependent of a dependent at a later date;
Newborn. For the purposes of THSteps requirements, a newborn is any child under one year of age.

Newborn. A parent of a newly born child shall be entitled, upon request, to a leave of absence without pay to commence any time during the first year after the birth of the child. This leave shall not exceed one (1) year.
