NOISE & VIBRATION CONTROL - GENERAL Sample Clauses

NOISE & VIBRATION CONTROL - GENERAL. In addition to insulation requirements, generator and exhaust mounting details provided in this specification and shown on the contract drawings, the Contractor shall implement the following control measures to ensure the target criteria are satisfied: • Effective noise barrier around high noise spaces to prevent noise transmission to adjacent spaces, and sound absorbing material around high noise spaces, to reduce contribution of reverberant noise within the space. • Install vibration isolators for all diesel generators and rotating machinery such as pumps and fans in order to reduce noise and vibration transmission through the structure. • Provide flexible mounting of ventilation and other service lines. • Ensuring that all pipe and duct joints are tight and that all penetrations through spaces are sealed. • All pipe connections to the engines and generators should be of the flexible type. • Use of low noise components, e.g. tighter tolerances. • Ensure the natural frequencies of the foundations of hard mounted equipment to be at least 30 percent greater than the disturbing frequencies of the equipment. • Ensure that the local stiffness of the foundation supporting the resilient mounts to be at least 10 times the stiffness of the isolator it supports to result in adequate vibration isolation. • Ensure that the natural frequencies of the resilient mount systems be sufficiently far from the disturbing frequencies (at least 30 percent of the nearest mode). If this condition cannot be satisfied, the vibrational force transmission to the foundation should be studied in greater detail and corrective measures taken to meet an acceptable isolation performance. C185 TESTS & TRIALS The barge and crane shall undergo testing and trials in accordance with Section E of the contract. C200 ARRANGEMENTS C201 BARGE CONFIGURATION

Related to NOISE & VIBRATION CONTROL - GENERAL

  • Noise The Hirer shall ensure that the minimum of noise is made on arrival and departure, particularly late at night and early in the morning. The Hirer shall, if using sound amplification equipment, make use of any noise limitation device provided at the premises and comply with any other licensing condition for the premises.

  • Noise Control The use of sound equipment is prohibited unless approved by Management. Any electronic equipment or machinery which is determined to be distracting to other exhibits will not be permitted.

  • Infection Control Consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guideline for Infection Control in Health Care Personnel, and University Policy 3364-109-EH-603, the parties agree that all bargaining unit employees who come in contact with patients in the hospital or ambulatory care clinics will need to be vaccinated against influenza when flu season begins each fall. The influenza vaccine will be offered to all health care workers, including pregnant women, before the influenza season, unless otherwise medically contraindicated or it compromises sincerely held religious beliefs.

  • Uncontrollable Forces Tariff Provisions Section 14.1 of the CAISO Tariff shall be incorporated by reference into this Agreement except that all references in Section 14.1 of the CAISO Tariff to Market Participants shall be read as a reference to the Participating Generator and references to the CAISO Tariff shall be read as references to this Agreement.

  • Noise Abatement Contractor shall operate, conduct, or construct without violating the City’s Noise Abatement Ordinance codified in the SDMC.

  • Erosion Control a. The Purchaser shall construct slash and debris erosion barriers, dips, water bars or ditches in skid trails and landings as directed by the Forest Officer.

  • Built-up Area The built-up area for the Designated Apartment or any other Unit shall mean the Carpet Area of such Unit and Balcony area and 50% (fifty percent) of the area covered by those external walls which are common between such Unit/Balcony and any other Unit/Balcony and the area covered by all other external walls of the such Unit/Balcony.

  • Control Area An electric power system or combination of electric power systems to which a common automatic generation control scheme is applied in order to:

  • NOISE/WASTE The Tenant agrees not to commit waste on the premises, maintain, or permit to be maintained, a nuisance thereon, or use, or permit the premises to be used, in an unlawful manner. The Tenant further agrees to abide by any and all local, county, and State noise ordinances.

  • Temperature Measurement Temperature will be measured by the nearest automatic Melbourne Bureau of Meteorology Monitoring Station for example (but not limited to): Melbourne, Moorabbin, Dunns Hill, Melbourne Airport, Frankston, and Point Xxxxxx. At the commencement of each project, the onsite management and employee representatives shall agree which is to be the applicable automatic weather monitoring station.
