Common use of Non-Bargaining Unit Vacant Position Clause in Contracts

Non-Bargaining Unit Vacant Position. An Employee promoted to a position outside the bargaining unit, shall be placed in a position for a trial period of nine (9) months. During the nine (9) month period the Employer may elect to return such Employee to the bargaining unit or the Employee may elect to return to the bargaining unit. During the nine (9) month period the Employee shall continue to accumulate service and seniority credits for all purposes.
