Non-Emergency Public Use. No agency shall use the Mass Notification System for non-emergency public announcements unless a separate contract with the vendor is established. Non-emergency use shall be consistent and in compliance with the non-emergency guidelines included within. Any agency in violation of this term may have their use of the system suspended. Additionally, E 911 data is not allowed to be utilized for non-emergency use according to the law California Public Utilities Code (CPUC) sections 2872 and 2891.1 and violators may be subject to criminal enforcement. Jurisdictions will be limited to utilizing the self-registering portal entry data only when launching non-emergency messages. Agencies who contract to use the countywide System for non-emergency activity agree to give precedence to emergency notification call-outs by delaying or terminating non- emergency notification sessions if needed to increase emergency message success. The primary concern for point of failure in this situation is not the Mass Notification System, but the telephone port capacity of local phone providers responsible for delivering calls to residents. Cost associated with non-emergency public notifications is the responsibility of the local Agency, See section VIII.   • Emergency Service Leave Where employees' services are required for emergency operations by request from Provincial Emergency Programs or appropriate police authority, leave from work as required may be granted without loss of basic pay.   • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Contractor understands that HHS does not tolerate any type of fraud, waste, or abuse. Violations of law, agency policies, or standards of ethical conduct will be investigated, and appropriate actions will be taken. Pursuant to Texas Government Code, Section 321.022, if the administrative head of a department or entity that is subject to audit by the state auditor has reasonable cause to believe that money received from the state by the department or entity or by a client or contractor of the department or entity may have been lost, misappropriated, or misused, or that other fraudulent or unlawful conduct has occurred in relation to the operation of the department or entity, the administrative head shall report the reason and basis for the belief to the Texas State Auditor’s Office (SAO). All employees or contractors who have reasonable cause to believe that fraud, waste, or abuse has occurred (including misconduct by any HHS employee, Grantee officer, agent, employee, or subcontractor that would constitute fraud, waste, or abuse) are required to immediately report the questioned activity to the Health and Human Services Commission's Office of Inspector General. Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and System Agency policies regarding fraud, waste, and abuse including, but not limited to, HHS Circular C-027.   • Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness leaves granted to a permanent teacher, long-term occasional teacher or teacher hired into a term position under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, as amended. b) The teacher will provide to the employer such evidence as necessary to prove entitlement under the Employment Standards Act. c) A teacher contemplating taking such leave(s) shall notify the employer of the intended date the leave is to begin and the anticipated date of return to active employment. d) Seniority and experience continue to accrue during such leave(s). e) Where a teacher is on such leave(s), the Employer shall continue to pay its share of the benefit premiums, where applicable. To maintain participation and coverage under the Collective Agreement, the teacher must agree to provide for payment for the teacher’s share of the benefit premiums, where applicable. f) In order to receive pay for such leaves, a teacher must access Employment Insurance and the Supplemental Employment Benefit (SEB) in accordance with g) to j), if allowable by legislation. An employee who is eligible for E.I. is not entitled to benefits under a school board’s sick leave and short term disability plan. g) The Employer shall provide for permanent teachers, long-term occasional teachers and teachers hired into a term position who access such Leaves, a SEB plan to top up their E.I.

  • Medical Care and Emergency Leave An employee is entitled to a leave of absence without pay because of any of the following: 1. A personal illness, injury or medical emergency. 2. The death, illness, injury or medical emergency of an individual described in this Article. 3. An urgent matter that concerns an individual described in this Article. For the purposes of this Article, the individuals referred to in this Article are: - the employee’s spouse - a parent, step-parent or xxxxxx parent of the employee or the employee’s spouse - a child, step-child or xxxxxx child of the employee or the employee’s spouse - a grandparent, step-grandparent, grandchild or step-grandchild of the employee or of the employee’s spouse - the spouse of a child of the employee - the employee’s brother or sister - a relative of the employee who is dependent on the employee for care or assistance. An employee who wishes to take leave under this section shall advise his or her Hospital that he or she will be doing so. If the employee must begin the leave before advising the Hospital, the employee shall advise the Hospital of the leave as soon as possible after beginning it. An employee is entitled to take a total of 10 days’ leave under this section each year. If an employee takes any part of a day as leave under this section, the Hospital may deem the employee to have taken one day’s leave on that day for the purposes of this Article. The Hospital may require an employee who takes leave under this section to provide evidence reasonable in the circumstances that the employee is entitled to the leave. Upon the conclusion of an employee’s leave under this Article, the Hospital shall reinstate the employee to the position the employee most recently held with the Hospital, if it still exists, or to a comparable position, if it does not.

  • Rectification of Safety Hazard Where, because of the existence of a safety hazard, a site has been stopped for a defined period of time and Employees sent off site by agreement between Site Managers and any combination of Union Official/s, Health and Safety Committee, those people who remain on site to do rectification work will be paid at the rate of double time for all such work.

  • Contingent Emergency Response 1. In order to ensure the proper implementation of contingent emergency response activities under Part 4 of the Project (“Contingent Emergency Response Part”), the Recipient shall ensure that: (a) a manual (“CERC Manual”) is prepared and adopted in form and substance acceptable to the Association, which shall set forth detailed implementation arrangements for the Contingent Emergency Response Part, including: (i) any structures or institutional arrangements for coordinating and implementing the Contingent Emergency Response Part;

  • Emergency Transition Registry Operator agrees that, in the event that any of the emergency thresholds for registry functions set forth in Section 6 of Specification 10 is reached, ICANN may designate an emergency interim registry operator of the registry for the TLD (an “Emergency Operator”) in accordance with ICANN’s registry transition process (available at <xxxx://xxx.xxxxx.xxx/en/resources/registries/transition-­‐processes>) (as the same may be amended from time to time, the “Registry Transition Process”) until such time as Registry Operator has demonstrated to ICANN’s reasonable satisfaction that it can resume operation of the registry for the TLD without the reoccurrence of such failure. Following such demonstration, Registry Operator may transition back into operation of the registry for the TLD pursuant to the procedures set out in the Registry Transition Process, provided that Registry Operator pays all reasonable costs incurred (i) by ICANN as a result of the designation of the Emergency Operator and (ii) by the Emergency Operator in connection with the operation of the registry for the TLD, which costs shall be documented in reasonable detail in records that shall be made available to Registry Operator. In the event ICANN designates an Emergency Operator pursuant to this Section 2.13 and the Registry Transition Process, Registry Operator shall provide ICANN or any such Emergency Operator with all data (including the data escrowed in accordance with Section 2.3) regarding operations of the registry for the TLD necessary to maintain operations and registry functions that may be reasonably requested by ICANN or such Emergency Operator. Registry Operator agrees that ICANN may make any changes it deems necessary to the IANA database for DNS and WHOIS records with respect to the TLD in the event that an Emergency Operator is designated pursuant to this Section 2.13. In addition, in the event of such failure, ICANN shall retain and may enforce its rights under the Continued Operations Instrument.

  • Erosion Prevention and Control Purchaser’s Operations shall be conducted reasonably to minimize soil erosion. Equipment shall not be operated when ground conditions are such that excessive damage will result. Purchaser shall adjust the kinds and intensity of erosion control work done to ground and weather condi- tions and the need for controlling runoff. Erosion control work shall be kept current immediately preceding ex- pected seasonal periods of precipitation or runoff.

  • Contingency Planning The Official Agency in conjunction with the Authority shall ensure that there are contingency plans in place at appropriate levels for dealing with food related crises and incidents. The contingency plan shall be in line with Article 115 of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 and include arrangements for activation of the plan, establishment of a crisis team, communication and information, out of hours contacts and on call services. As part of these plans, the Official Agency will provide the Authority with contact points for both office hours and out of office hours contact for emergency and crisis situations. The Official Agency shall facilitate training of personnel in the operation and exercise of the contingency plans. Periodic review of the plans shall take place in consultation with the Authority. The Official Agency shall implement the agreed Inter-Agency Protocol for the Management of a Food Crisis and guidance on Management of Outbreaks of Foodborne Illness as per Section 1.19.

  • Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention and Control The hospital in consultation with the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) shall develop, establish and put into effect, musculoskeletal prevention and control measures, procedures, practices and training for the health and safety of employees.
