Non-Environmental. Acceptable accreditation programs are the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Program, and the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (AALA) Program. Furnish to the Contracting Officer or her designated representative, a copy of the certificate of accreditation, scope of accreditation, and latest directory of the accrediting organization for accredited laboratories. The scope of the laboratory’s accreditation shall include the test methods required by the contract. The Contracting Officer or QAO must approve any deviation from the above requirements in writing.

Non-Environmental. Except as stated otherwise in the specification sections, perform construction sampling and testing required under this contract. Construction testing includes soil compaction, materials evaluation, concrete strength testing, etc. Provide an independent testing laboratory qualified to perform sampling and testing required by the contract. Furnish to the Contracting Officer or COR a copy of the certificate of accreditation, scope of accreditation, and latest directory of the accrediting organization for accredited laboratories. The scope of the laboratory’s accreditation shall include the test methods required by the contract. Any deviation from the above requirements must be approved in writing by the Contracting Officer or designated representative and documented in the project Work Plan. Accreditation requirements for laboratories performing work funded by other DoD programs will be specified in the CTO PWS and considered on a case by case basis. The Contracting Officer or NAVFAC QAM must approve any deviation from the above requirements in writing.
