Non-Teaching Faculty (35 Hours/Week. The normal workload for all non-teaching faculty (35 Hours/Week), including but not limited to counselors and librarians, shall be one hundred and ninety-four (194) service days per fiscal year, where each service day consists of seven (7) hours, exclusive of overload teaching assignments or extra duty contracts. Since it is to the benefit of students to have access to the services provided by non-teaching faculty throughout the year, non-teaching faculty members will stagger their service and non-service days throughout the year with the approval of the appropriate Vice President, using the following procedure. At the start of each fiscal year, the Vice President for Student Services or the Vice President for Academic Services, or designee, as appropriate, shall create a master schedule of all the possible service days in the upcoming fiscal year. Each non-teaching unit member will then indicate which days in each month they intend to work, and which days they will designate as non-service days, with the total number of service days scheduled equal to one hundred ninety-four (194). It is understood that the unit member must schedule at least one service day in each calendar month of the year. The appropriate Vice President will then approve the duty schedule for each unit member, or work collegially with the unit member to adjust the schedule should there be a problem. If during the course of the year the unit member finds that due to changing work requirements s/he needs to change her/his designated service days, s/he shall make such a request in writing to the appropriate Vice President as early as possible, but no less than one week prior to the change. In the event that a unit member covered by this section is terminated, that individual will be provided rehire rights as specified in the California Education Code Sections 87744, 87745, 87746, whichever is applicable.

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • Teaching Loads The range of teaching loads, number of preparations and number of pupil contacts required should provide for effective instruction and meaningful teacher-student interaction. DPS and the Association agree to work together to seek increased state funding to decrease class size. The principal shall report to the CSC, after the roster verification process, the number of students in each class and this will be published in the CSC minutes on the school’s website. For the purposes of this section, a “class” shall be defined as any general education, including electives and model one classes. Upon request, after the roster verification process, the District shall provide the Association with the student information management system data regarding class enrollment.

  • Training Period The training provided for in this article shall be given during the hours of work whenever possible. Any such training outside of working hours shall be considered voluntary unless at the request of the Employer, in which case time devoted to training shall be considered as time worked.

  • TEACHING HOURS AND CLASS LOAD A. Teacher hours of duty shall be: Seven (7) hours and forty-five (45) minutes per day

  • Academic Year Academic Year is defined as beginning with the start of fall semester and ending with the completion of spring semester.

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Medicaid-Funded Hours Worked Effective July 1, 2021, the Employer shall contribute the Retirement Rate or eighty cents ($0.80), whichever is higher, to the Retirement Trust for each Medicaid-Funded Hour worked by all home care workers covered by this Agreement with seven-hundred and one (701) or more cumulative career hours and fifty cents ($0.50) for each hour worked by all home care workers covered by this Agreement with less than seven-hundred one (701) cumulative career hours. Medicaid- Funded Hour(s) worked shall be defined as all hours worked by all employees covered by this Agreement in the Employer's in-home care program that are paid by Medicaid, excluding vacation hours, paid-time off hours, and training hours.

  • TEACHING HOURS A. The teacher’s normal teaching hours in the secondary and elementary schools shall be as follows:

  • Non-Medicaid-Funded Hours Worked Effective July 1, 2021, the Employer shall contribute the Healthcare Rate or three dollars and seventy-nine cents ($3.79), whichever is higher to the Trust for each Non-Medicaid- Funded hour worked. Non-Medicaid-Funded Hour(s) worked shall be defined as all hours worked by all employees covered by this Agreement in the Employer's in‐home care program that are paid by a payor other than Medicaid, excluding vacation hours, paid-time off, and training hours. Effective July 1 2022, the Employer shall contribute the Healthcare rate or three dollars and ninety-eight cents ($3.98), whichever is higher, to the Trust for each Non-Medicaid-Funded Hour worked. Contributions required by Section 21.2 shall be paid periodically as required by the Trust.

  • PRICING OF After Hours Coefficient What is your after hours coefficient for the RS Means Price Book for work performed after normal working hours? Remember that this is a ceiling price proposed. You can discount to any TIPS Member customer a lower coefficient than your proposed contract coefficient, but not higher. This is one of three pricing questions that are required for consideration for award on this solicitation. Please consider your answer carefully. An explanation of the TIPS scoring of pricing titled "Pricing Coefficient Instruction" is included in the attachments for your information. The below is an EXAMPLE of how the pricing model works (It is not intended to influence your proposed coefficient, you should propose a coefficient that you determine is reasonable for your business for the life of the contract): The most common after hours coefficient is time and a half of the RS Means Unit Price Book prices. To illustrate this coefficient, if your regular hours coefficient is .95, your after hours coefficient would be 1.45.
