Extra Duty Contracts. 22-1-1 When an extra duty position becomes open, the position opening will be posted for a minimum of seven (7) days in all community schools. When a certified employee with appropriate qualifications applies for an open position, they will be given first consideration for the position. Should no qualified licensed staff be selected, the position will be opened to the community at large.
Extra Duty Contracts. A contract issued for performance of an extra duty (i.e., department heads, athletics, band, etc.). These contracts are entirely separate and severable from the regular or temporary contract of the teacher. In addition, extra duty contracts apply only for the current school year and do not provide the employee with any assurance the assignment will continue. Flex Pay – An extra duty stipend paid to a teacher who teaches six periods per day. Example: A schedule for a regular teaching contract at the high school is 5 teaching periods and one planning period. A teacher receiving flex pay would teach 6 periods and have one planning period. Middle school teachers who teach their regular schedule at the middle school and then travel to the high school to teach an additional period may also qualify. To be eligible for flex pay, a teacher must either be the teacher of record or be assigned based on supervision needs.
Extra Duty Contracts. 28 A. Staff members may be offered an extra-duty contract for duties beyond the 29 individual's appointment. When awarding extra-duty contracts, the District will give 30 preferential consideration to in-district applicants who meet the selection criteria.
Extra Duty Contracts. Extra duty contracts will be offered, in writing, whenever possible, prior to May 15 preceding the school year. These contracts, if accepted, shall be returned not later than May 23. Extra duty position openings in the District will be described by written notice and e-mailed to all District staff. Teachers new to the District who are to be given extra duty contracts will be given their contracts simultaneously with their teaching contracts, if known.
Extra Duty Contracts. All short-term extra-duty contracts (i.e. coaching, summer school) will be paid at the end of the contract in a check separate from regular payroll. All other extra-duty contracts (i.e. Head Teacher, Technology, and Athletic Director) will be included in regular payroll. Idaho Code 33-515 (a) (1)
Extra Duty Contracts. Annual seasonal extra-duty contracts will be issued separately from the letter of employment and shall be compensated as per the extra-duty salary schedule. • Fall, winter, and spring seasonal extra duty contracts will be paid in six (6) equal installments on the 10th and 25th of the month beginning August 10 for fall, November 10 for winter, and March 10 for spring. • The extra duty committee will endeavor to meet each year beginning by February 1st and concluding by March 15th to determine the extra duty positions and compensation for the next school year.
Extra Duty Contracts. Certified employees who are hired for an extra-duty position, will be issued a contract for such position.
Extra Duty Contracts. Unit members may be offered extra duty contracts to serve as coordinators for certain projects and programs in Student Services or as part of an outside funded grant or special project. The Association must be consulted before any extra duty contracts not specifically enumerated in this agreement are offered to unit members.
