Normal Employer Rights. 856 While it is not possible to anticipate or detail in this Agreement all of the rights and prerogatives that the 857 Employer retains and reserves, the following list is illustrative. The Employer exclusively retains and 858 reserves the rights to: exercise all rights normally exercised by employers and not expressly limited 859 herein; select faculty for hire; determine staffing requirements; schedule work; determine the duties 860 required of faculty; subcontract all or a part of its work or functions; transfer, lay off, recall, determine 861 the nature and extent of services that are to be performed; regulate the use of equipment and facilities; 862 make and enforce reasonable work rules; discontinue programs; and take such measures as 863 management may consider to be reasonably necessary to the orderly, efficient and economical 864 operation of the College except as may be in conflict with any provisions of this Agreement or handbook 865 which may be incorporated into this agreement by reference.

  • Partial Employer Contribution - Basic Eligibility The following employees covered by this Agreement receive the full Employer Contribution for basic life coverage, and at the employee's option, a partial Employer Contribution for health and dental coverages if they are scheduled to work at least fifty (50) percent but less than seventy-five (75) percent of the time. This means:

  • EMPLOYER RIGHTS 3.1 The Employer retains the right to operate and manage all manpower, facilities, and equipment; to establish functions and programs; to set and amend budgets; to determine the utilization of technology; to establish and modify the organizational structure; to select, direct, and determine the number of personnel; and to perform any inherent managerial function not specifically limited by this Agreement.

  • Potential Employees The Employer agrees to acquaint potential Employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect, and with the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-Off.

  • Initial Employment On recruitment of tradesmen whose regular residence* or place of recruitment, whichever is closer to the project, is between ninety-six (96) to one hundred and eighty-nine (189) road-driven kilometers from the project, the Employer shall pay $34.00 effective May 1, 2020 for the initial trip to the Project. *As defined in Section 1 above.

  • Full Employer Contribution - Basic Eligibility Employees covered by this Agreement who are scheduled to work at least seventy-five (75) percent of the time are eligible for the full Employer Contribution. This means:

  • Casual Employment (a) A casual employee is an employee engaged as such on an hourly basis.

  • Casual Employee A casual employee is one who is employed as a relief or on a replacement basis and is available for call-ins as circumstances demand.

  • Casual Employees A casual employee is one who is not regularly scheduled to work other than during periods that such employee shall relieve a regular full-time or regular part-time employee. Casual employees accumulate seniority on an hourly basis and are entitled to such benefits as are contained in the “Addendum - Casual Employees”.
