Registered Nurses Requests for a different shift in the nurse's present unit should be submitted to the nurse's immediate supervisor in writing. Requests for transfer to another unit should be submitted on the University’s Employment Website. A good faith effort will be made to facilitate lateral transfers from one unit to another. The nurse's length of service shall be a consideration on transfer to a different shift or unit. Applications for promotions should be submitted on the University’s Employment Website during the period of official posting. Promotional openings will be posted for a minimum of seven calendar days in the unit, the Nursing and Outpatient Clinic Administrative Office and the Medical Centers Human Resources Office.
Chief Stewards leave of absence with current pay, benefits and without loss of seniority will be granted to one (1) chief stewards for up to a combined maximum total of three (3) days per year to deal with Collective Agreement related problems on the work sites within the contract area. Directory To participate in the MnDOT TGB program, a business must be certified at the time of contract execution. Certified Targeted Group Businesses are listed in the Directory of Certified Targeted Group, Economically Disadvantaged and VET Vendors. MnDOT makes no representation as to any TGB’s technical or financial ability to perform the work. Prime contractors are solely responsible for performing due diligence in hiring TGB firms. A TGB’s failure to perform the work will not be considered justification for a compensation increase or time extension.
