Notice to Individual Teacher. 36.4.1 If the Board acts to cancel contracts, it shall give written notice of that fact by certified mail, return receipt requested, to each teacher whose contract is being canceled. If the date on which the cancellation of contract is to be effective is the beginning of the academic year, notice thereof shall be given on or before July 1. The notice shall include the date on which the cancellation of contract is to be effective, a statement of the conditions requiring cancellation of contract, a general description of the procedures followed in making the decision, and a disclosure of the general data on which the decision was based. The teacher’s address, as it appears in the teacher’s personnel file maintained in the District’s Office of Human Resources, shall be deemed to be the correct address. It shall be the teacher’s responsibility to ensure that the personnel file maintained at the District’s Educational Service Center contains current and accurate information regarding the teacher’s endorsement or endorsements contained in such file as of twenty (20) days prior to the date on which the Board acts to cancel a teacher’s contract. The District shall have the right to rely upon the accuracy of the teacher’s mailing address as of the date of any mailing made by the District.

Notice to Individual Teacher. After all determination selections have been exercised, the Board shall give written notice of the fact by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the teacher to be terminated. The notice shall include a statement of the conditions requiring termination of employment. The teacher's address as it appears on the school District's record shall be deemed to be the correct address. It shall be the teacher's responsibility to see that the school or institution has his/her current address on file.
Notice to Individual Teacher. A. Within a reasonable time after receiving the Board's statement of action, that includes personnel implications, the superintendent or designee, shall cause written notice of displacement to be provided to all displaced teachers. The written notice shall include: a. a copy of the Board's statement adopted pursuant to the accompanying policy or provisions of this agreement; b. a copy of the accompanying policy or agreement provisions; and c. a list of all vacant positions for which the displaced teacher is highly qualified, as well as a list of vacancies in any area identified by the school district to be an area of critical need. B. Notice shall be served upon the teacher personally, by district email or by certified or registered mail to the teacher's address as it appears in the school district's records. It shall be the teacher's responsibility to ensure that the district has the teacher's current address on file.
