Notification of illness to employer. An employee who is unable to work due to illness, accident or occu- pational injury is to report this to the employer as soon as possible. If there are legitimate reasons preventing the employee from reporting illness, notification is to occur as soon as these have been resolved. The employee is also to notify the employer of when they expect to be able to resume work. The same obligation exists if the employee needs to be absent from work due to the risk of transmission of infection. The employee has no right to sick pay for any period before such no- tification is given.
