Common use of Observation/Evaluation Clause in Contracts

Observation/Evaluation. During the first year of a teacher’s service, the Principal will conduct a minimum of three classroom observations, and during the second year of service (if applicable), a minimum of two classroom observations, which will be scheduled in advance with the teacher, will not exceed one per two-week period, and will be completed by March 31st. Additional observations may be conducted at the discretion of the Principal throughout the year. During each year of probation, the Principal will hold a mid-year review meeting to discuss the teacher's progress, after which the Principal will also complete a written evaluation report. Classroom observations and evaluations during the probationary period are otherwise subject to all pertinent terms of this Agreement.
