Occupational First Aid Requirements. a) The Union and the Employer agree that first aid regulations made pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act shall be fully complied with. Where the Employer requires an employee to obtain or renew the employee's occupational first aid certificate, the cost shall be borne by the Employer. Employees in designated positions and employees who request to be designated and are approved will be granted time off with pay during normal working hours to renew their certificate. If the course or examinations are held on a day the employee does not normally work, they will receive time off in lieu, such time to be taken subject to operational requirements as approved by their supervisor, for the time spent at courses and writing examinations. b) A premium shall be paid to employees required to possess a certificate under this Article. The amount of the premium shall be: Occupational First Aid Certificate, Level I Occupational First Aid Certificate, Level II Occupational First Aid Certificate, Level III Forty cents ($0.40) per hour; Seventy cents ($0.70) per hour; Eighty-one cents ($0.81) per hour. c) The cost of obtaining first aid certification shall be paid as follows:
