Officer Selection for Overtime. (A) Officers who volunteer for overtime shall be selected on a first come/first serve basis. At each facility, a Voluntary Overtime Sign-up sheet will be posted at roll call, available to officers in that facility. Officers may sign-up to work overtime at one or both facilities. The sign up sheet will be made available 30 minutes prior to the beginning of each roll call. The sheet will be initiated by the on-duty shift supervisor and kept in the shift supervisor’s office and monitored by the lieutenants and captains. As the new shift begins, the sign up sheet will be brought to roll call to be turned over to the shift commander of the new shift.
