Only the Management Command Officers of the Department have the authority to direct an employee to standby duty. When an employee is directed to standby duty, the employee shall receive one (1) hour of straight time pay for eight (8) hours of standby duty or any fraction thereof that occurs between regularly assigned duty shifts. Any standby assignments occurring on the employee's regularly scheduled days off will be compensated at two (2) hours straight time pay for each eight (8) hours of standby duty or any fraction thereof.

  • Association-Management Committee There shall be an Association-Management Committee comprised of two (2) nurse representatives and the Employer representatives. The Committee shall meet every two months unless otherwise mutually agreed. Agenda items to be discussed shall be exchanged in writing at least five calendar days prior to the meeting.
