Operating Engineers Health and Welfare Trust Combined Medical and Dental Insurance Plan Options. For coverage effective February 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018, in lieu of County offered medical and dental plans, an employee may enroll in an Operating Engineers Health and Welfare Trust medical and dental plan to the extent permitted by that Trust. For full-time employees, the County shall contribute towards that coverage in an amount not to exceed eighty- seven and a half percent (87.5%) of the total monthly premium, at the employee’s applicable level of enrollment, for the lowest cost HMO plan offered through the County plus the amount that the County would have contributed toward the County- offered dental plan had the employee enrolled in that plan, or the premium of the elected Operating Engineer’s plan, whichever is lower.

For coverage effective February 1, 2017 2018 through January 31, 2018the remaining term of this MOU, in lieu of County offered medical and dental plans, an employee may enroll in an Operating Engineers Health and Welfare Trust medical and dental plan to the extent permitted by that Trust. For full-time employees, the County shall will contribute towards that coverage in an amount not to exceed eighty- seven and a half eighty-five percent (87.585%) of the total monthly premium, at the employee’s applicable level of enrollment, for the lowest cost HMO plan offered through the County plus the amount that the County would have contributed toward the County- offered dental plan had the employee enrolled in that plan, or the premium of the elected Operating Engineer’s plan, whichever is lower.
