Common use of Optional Insurance Plans Clause in Contracts

Optional Insurance Plans. Commencing with the first full month after the date of initial employment, an Association member will receive a Monthly Benefit Allowance at the applicable rate referenced in Section 9.1.1 After making the required contribution for medical insurance under the PERS Medical Unequal Contribution Method, the remaining dollars may be used by the Association member either to purchase medical insurance through PERS Health or to purchase any other optional plans that may be offered by the City in accordance with a qualified plan. Plans currently offered include: Dental, Long Term Care, Voluntary Vision, Voluntary Group Life Insurance and Supplemental Insurance Options.
