Optional Work Days Sample Clauses

Optional Work Days. Five (5) optional days shall be available as compensation for activities initiated by individual teachers or site groups that support district or building goals. Funding for two of the optional days is based on the agreements between the Prescott School District and Vista Hermosa and Jubilee. The parties agree to renegotiate payment of those two days in the event that the contracts are not renewed. Activities must be performed in at least one-hour blocks, except the Parent Outreach and Opening of School Sections which may be reported in ½ hour blocks. Employees will complete and submit the Optional Day Verification Form in advance, to an administrator, with retroactive approval in extenuating circumstances. One (1) furlough day will be scheduled between the member and the building principal. If the furlough day is not used it will be paid at the substitute rate automatically on the June pay warrant.   • Work Day/Work Week 1. The work week shall consist of five (5) consecutive days Monday through Friday of no more than eight (8) hours per day and no more than forty (40) hours per work week. This shall not restrict the extension of the employee’s usual and customary workday or workweek when such is necessary to carry on the business of the School District. Employees who actually work more than forty (40) hours per week will receive overtime pay (time-and-a-half).

  • Four Day Work Week Schedule i. When working under the four (4) day work week schedule, Employees shall be paid at double time (2x) the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the regular ten (10) hours per day Monday through Thursday.

  • Five Day Work Week Schedule When working under the five (5) day work week schedule, Employees shall receive one and one-half (1.5x) times their regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours of overtime Monday through Friday. All other overtime Monday through Friday shall be paid at double time (2x).

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.
